Fall back this weekend by taking preventative measures against fire!
This Sunday, November 5th, we will bring Daylight Saving Time to a close and adjust our clocks back one hour. The fire service uses this time of year as a reminder that when you change your clocks, you should also change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms as well.
According to the National Fire Protection Association, nearly two-thirds of home fire deaths resulted from fires in residences without working smoke alarms. Having working smoke alarms is the most important component of fire safety, so it is extremely important to make sure your home is ready for an emergency this winter season!
